Take a look at our working process
What will happen at my free consultation?
After you have contacted Strictly Roofing for your free consultation, we will book you in our diary. We will make sure the date and time is suitable for everyone before we confirm.
We will knock on your door to let you know when we have arrived. If you have any internal damage or leaks that are penetrating your ceilings, this is a good time to show us. This helps us to locate the issue from outside.
If you don’t have any damage, then we will have a quick discussion about what it is that you want and need before we get our equipment and go onto the roof to take a look.
When we inspect the roof we are looking for any obvious signs of damage. We check the integrity of the materials and evaluate the extent of the damage.
We will evaluate any risks involved in the project and do a quick health and safety evaluation. We will take images for our own use, which are helpful when we come back down to discuss our findings with you.
If we are attending an emergency call-out, then we will patch-up any immediate issues and make everything watertight before leaving.
We will always discuss our findings with you before we go away go away and discuss the project with our admin team. They will then organise the materials, get prices and produce a quote/devi to send to you. Your quote will be sent to you via email. Your quote will be valid for 3 months.

What happens if I don’t want to go ahead with the work straight away?
That’s ok!
You are under no obligation to take on any of our recommendations.
Our quotes are valid for 3 months. This gives you plenty of time to decide what you want to do. You can discus it with your partner, get more quotes and make arrangements if necessary.
After 3 months your quote will be invalid. If you want to go ahead with the works we will need to do a second quotation. This is because changes to your roof may have occurred since our last evaluation.

What happens if I go ahead, will I need to prepare anything?
There are a few things you may need to consider.
Firstly, we recommend that you find out whether your property is in a protected area. If it is you may need to complete a Cerfa Declaration Prealable form. You can view, download or print it here.
Secondly, we recommend that you take a look at our Scaffolding page. Here you will discover whether you are in need of a scaffold permit. If you are you can apply for this directly from your mairie.

What does the roofing process involve?
This is a typical project for Strictly Roofing, so we are going to use it as a step-by-step guide to demonstrate our work process. Tis recent project in St Hilaire des Loges began wen Mr Stone contacted Strictly Roofing for a free evaluation and quotation. We class tis type of project as a roof replacement, and we replaced theirs roof using Monier’s Feriane tiles.
Step 1
The first thing we need to do is evaluate the roof materials and condition by looking. As you can see here there is extensive damage underneath that compromises the structure of the roof.

Step 2
Involves stripping the roof and replacing the purlins and rafters in order to give a good structure to build upon. Once they are in place we lay a membrane onto to prepare the roof for the next step.

Step 3
We then lay the battens onto of the membrane. These are what the tiles are attached to. Finally we are ready to lay the tiles.

Step 4
We lay the tiles down and attached them in the correct order to ensure they are going to provide proper protection, and you are left with a brand new roof which includes a 10 year guarentee.
