The whole process of replacing my 120 year old slate roof was as stress-free as such an undertaking could possibly be, from the word go. The quote was swift and reasonable, the communication excellent, and the start date provided a few months in advance was to my amazement the actual start date. This was immensely helpful as it meant I could book a camping trip while the noisiest part of the work got underway. Malcolm and team were very kind and looked after our kitten while we were gone. They were punctual, polite, and hard working every day and despite the major works going on it was possible to go about day-to-day life as usual. They were happy to explain everything they were doing and made it clear what was happening when and why at every stage in the process. Three weeks on, the result is a fantastic neat new slate roof with nice symmetrical zinc ridges, restoring the house to its former glory, but with the security of knowing it now has a 21st century breathable waterproof membrane in place. I am thrilled and can’t wait to have the team come back to re-roof the barn! Malcolm is a genuine pro who really loves working with slate and can be trusted to do a great job.
